This case study explores how the Defence Digital Group (DDG) partnered with Novabridge to tackle the challenges of managing the implementation on the ServiceNow Protected Platform. With a mandate to ensure operational excellence and national security, DDG faced the complex task of managing multiple environments, maintaining compliance, and coordinating across diverse teams. Here, we delve into the challenges, the solutions implemented by Novabridge, and the key outcomes that highlight the success of this collaboration.

Novabridge helped the Defence Digital Group (DDG) modernise project and risk management with ServiceNow Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM) & Integrated Risk Management (IRM). The eP3M initiative replaced outdated tools, enhancing project oversight, risk governance, and strategic planning across Defence.

Novabridge streamlined HR operations with ServiceNow HR Service Delivery (HRSD), automating recruitment, onboarding, and talent management during rapid workforce expansion. The transition from manual processes to a scalable, centralised HR solution improved efficiency, compliance, and employee experience.

Novabridge was engaged to modernise the IT Service Management (ITSM) tooling for an organisation within the Department of Defence. The existing ITSM tool had reached end-of-life and required significant manual intervention to function effectively. Additionally, the client’s operations spanned multiple national and international locations, making manual collaboration across different time zones and systems increasingly challenging.

Novabridge, in collaboration with Wipro, partnered with the Federal Department of Health and Aged Care (DoHAC) to develop a Proof of Concept (POC) assessing ServiceNow as an enterprise platform. This initiative successfully modernised service management across IT, Procurement, and HR, enabling DoHAC to streamline critical business functions and validate ServiceNow’s potential as a long-term solution.

Novabrige collaborated with NHMRC to workshop, design, implement, test, and train staff on the new ServiceNow-based service portal. This enhanced notifications and streamlined service management, adapting to a peak of customer interactions of 26,723 in 2019.

Leidos partnered with Novabridge to deliver a robust integration solution for their federal government client. The project involved connecting the client’s sovereign ServiceNow instance with six external vendor systems, such as Jira ServiceDesk, ensuring bidirectional synchronisation of ITSM events. This integration enhanced operational efficiency, automated workflows, and improved data quality.
